In this article, let's go through the steps on how to create Amazon Seller Account.
Are you eager to step up your journey and embark on an Amazon business? Before diving into building your Amazon empire, it is crucial to establish your Amazon Seller account first.
Amazon's reputation as the premiere-commerce platform and its exceptional track record as the ideal launchpad for online businesses are widely recognized in the industry. To commence your journey, visit the Seller Central Amazon log-in and sign-up page. Proceed to click on the Learn More option located near the upper-right section of the page to create your Amazon Seller account. You have the choice to either use an existing Amazon customer login or create a fresh login specifically for this purpose.

Step 1: Choose your Selling Plan
Before disclosing any personal details, it is advisable to conduct thorough research and carefully consider which selling plan provided by Amazon aligns best with your need. While the Professional plan typically caters to serious Amazon sellers, the optimal choice depends on your goals, available resources, and the current stage of your selling journey.
Individual
The Individual seller plan entails a fee of $0.99 for each item sold. This particular plan is a preferable choice for sellers who are still in the process of selecting a product or anticipate fewer than 40 units per month. Due to the per-item fees, the Individual plan offers a more cost-effective option for individuals selling 40 or fewer items on a monthly basis. If you are still exploring product options or are not yet ready to commence your business operations, this plan allows you to save some money while establishing your store.
Additionally, the Individual seller plan is suitable for those who are testing the Amazon platform with a limited number of products. However, it lacks access to inventory tools, making the Professional plan more suitable for sellers with a larger product catalog or higher volume of products.
It is worth noting that you can upgrade to a Professional account, whether you have finalized your product selection or intent to expand your sales in the future.
Professional
The Professional seller plan requires a fixed monthly payment of $39.99, regardless of the number of items you sell within that month. In addition to the monthly fee, Amazon also collects a seller fee, which is a percentage of the total transaction and varies based on the product category.
Moreover, sellers who opt for the Professional plan gain access to various Amazon benefits, including Brand Registry. This feature safeguards your business against fraud and abuse while offering additional advantages for your product listings.

In summary, the Professional plan is more suitable for Amazon sellers who are aiming to establish a brand presence on Amazon. Besides the advantage of the capped monthly payment, this plan provides access to the Amazon Advertising platform, eligibility for premium placement on product detail pages, promotions such as free shipping, and numerous other benefits.
Both the Professional and Individual seller plans allow sellers to add new products to the Amazon catalog and expand their business through the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service.
Step 2: Visit Amazon (https://sell.amazon.com)

Step 3: Click the "Pricing" tab

Step 4: Select the selling plan you decided
Now that you have identified the most suitable selling plan for your Amazon business in the previous step, it's time to proceed with the selection of that specific choice.
Step 5: Create Amazon seller account
After selecting the seller plan, another window will appear, prompting you to provide your email address and create a password of your choice for your seller account.
Once you have entered the required information, click the “Next” button to proceed.

Full name: Enter your complete name, including your first, middle, and last name.
Step 7: Provide your personal information
Following that, Amazon will prompt you to furnish them with various personal particulars. This entails submitting identification, either your passport number or driver's license.
To proceed to the next step, you must verify your phone number through a verification code sent via text messages or phone calls. Once you enter the PIN, the system will verify your phone number successfully.

Step 8: Enter billing information
Your next step is to supply Amazon with your billing information, which entails providing a valid bank account number and a valid credit card number.

Step 9: Provide information about your Amazon store and product(s)
After inputting your credit card information and successfully verifying it, you will be required to respond to several inquiries concerning your Amazon store and the products you intend to sell.

To proceed to the subsequent phase of the Amazon seller registration process, please provide the following details:
The name of your Amazon store (No need to dwell too much on this decision, as it can be modified in the future).
Whether you possess UPC codes for your product(s) (If uncertain, simply select “Yes”).
Indicate if you hold any diversity certifications.
Confirm whether you are the manufacturer and/or brand owner of the product(s) you plan to sell.
In case you select “Yes” or “Some of them,” you will be asked if you possess a government-registered trademark for the branded products you wish to sell on Amazon.
Step 10: Verify
You will be prompted to verify your identity by uploading scanned images of your identification document (driver's license or passport) and a bank statement.

Once you have successfully uploaded your documents, proceed by clicking the “Submit” button.
Upon completing the document submission, you will need to undergo an Identity Verification process via a video call with an Amazon associate. This step is crucial for the thorough verification of your documents and the personal information you have provided.

Please be aware that this is now an essential part of the process, and we recommend completing it at your earliest convenience to expedite the process of selling products on Amazon. At the end of your application, you may have the option to schedule a call. In case you are unable to do so at that moment, you can schedule an appointment for a later date and time.
Once your identity is successfully verified, you are all set!
To ensure enhanced security, we highly recommend setting up 2-step verification for your account. However, once your identity and business information has been verified, all you need to do to get started is log in to https://sellercentral.amazon.com.
