Scan Unlimited Alternatives: The Wholesale List Scanning Software That Found 4,000 More Deals
If you’re an Amazon FBA wholesale seller, scanning supplier price lists is everything. The faster you can analyze thousands of products — and the more results your software gives you — the more profitable deals you’ll find.
Most sellers look at Scan Unlimited first. But today, I want to show you a lesser-known tool that outperformed Scan Unlimited in speed, accuracy, and deal volume — and I’ll show you the results side-by-side.
In this blog, you’ll learn:
Which tool scanned 4× faster
Which tool found 4,000 more potential products
Why Scan Unlimited hides profitable items you should see
Key features that matter for real wholesale sourcing
Pricing breakdown (spoiler: the alternative is cheaper)

🔍 The Test Setup: 28,000 Products Head-to-Head
To make this fair, I created a CSV file with 28,000 unique UPCs and scanned it through:
Scan Unlimited (basic plan only — no paid extras)
Analyzer.tools (basic plan only — no paid extras)
I ran each scan separately to avoid performance interference.
Before we get into results, here’s something important…
Scan Unlimited’s First Problem: Strict UPC Formatting
Scan Unlimited refused to accept my original 100,000-item list unless every UPC was exactly 12 digits.
If a barcode had its leading zero dropped (e.g., “011234567890” → “11234567890”), Scan Unlimited simply said:
“These are not UPCs.”
No guidance. No error location. Nothing.
I spent 1.5 hours fixing formatting just to get the file to upload.
Analyzer.tools?
It accepted everything instantly. No formatting. No cleaning. No stress.
Huge time saver.
⚡ Speed Test: Which One Finished First?
Tool Scan Time Scan Unlimited 4 minutes 59 seconds Analyzer.tools 1 minute 19 seconds
Analyzer.tools was 4× faster.
Now — speed alone isn’t a dealbreaker. If Scan Unlimited gave better results, I’d happily wait 5 minutes.
But did it?
📊 Result Count: How Many Products Each Tool Returned
Even though both tools scanned the same 28,000 UPCs, they returned different total product matches:
Scan Unlimited: 30,061 results
Analyzer.tools: 34,601 results
That’s 4,540 more product matches found by Analyzer.tools.
Why does this matter?
Because more matches = more chances to find profitable deals from the same supplier list.
But here’s the real kicker…
🚨 Scan Unlimited HIDES Profitable Products
This is the biggest discovery of the entire test.
Some Amazon listings are "buy box suppressed". Meaning:
No “Buy Now” button appears
You have to click See All Buying Options
It often happens when the price is too high or delivery times are too long
These products still sell — just without an active buy box.
How the tools handle suppressed buy box listings:
Scan Unlimited:
Shows no price, no profit, no ROI, no margin
→ These deals do not appear when you filter by profitability.Analyzer.tools:
Uses the lowest FBM price when the buy box is suppressed
→ You still see profit, ROI, and margin
→ These deals do appear in your profitable filters
This difference caused Scan Unlimited to hide thousands of potential deals.
When I filtered Scan Unlimited for products with a “0% referral fee”
(its internal signal that a listing is suppressed)
It showed 1,692 hidden products.
These are products you would never see in your normal profitable scans — even though many of them are profitable.
Analyzer.tools shows all of them.
This is a massive edge.
🧪 Feature Breakdown: What You Actually See While Analyzing Deals
Both tools show:
Product title
Buy box price
Sales rank
Profit
Fees
Offer count
But Analyzer.tools adds several power features that Scan Unlimited either hides or charges extra for.
⭐ 1. Built-in Break-Even Line on Keepa Graphs
Analyzer.tools overlays a red break-even line directly on the Keepa chart.
You instantly see:
If price stays above break-even → profitable
If price frequently dips below → risky
This makes analysis dramatically easier.
Scan Unlimited does not offer this.
⭐ 2. Built-in IP Risk Warnings
Analyzer.tools automatically flags brands (e.g., Revlon) with community-reported IP issues.
Great safety feature — especially when scanning unfamiliar wholesale catalogs.
Scan Unlimited does not show these warnings.
⭐ 3. Estimated Monthly Sales — FREE
Scan Unlimited charges extra for estimated sales data.
Analyzer.tools includes it by default.
Sales rank alone is useless when comparing across categories.
Sales estimates matter — and Analyzer.tools makes them accessible.
⭐ 4. Detailed Offer Breakdown (FBA vs FBM)
Analyzer.tools lets you see:
FBA sellers
FBM sellers
Offer count types
Buy box competition insights
Scan Unlimited only shows a generic “offers” number.
If you’re trying to break into listings with no FBA sellers, Analyzer.tools makes this much easier.
⭐ 5. Full Analysis View
Analyzer.tools opens a dedicated analysis screen:
90-day & 1-year Keepa charts
Buy box history
Sales rank curves
Profit calculators (FBA & FBM)
Current sellers
Historical data
Scan Unlimited requires loading the Amazon page manually.
💰 Pricing: One Is Cheaper AND Better
You’d expect the better tool to cost more.
Nope.
Tool Monthly Price Scan Unlimited $70/month Analyzer.tools $49/month
So Analyzer.tools is:
Cheaper
Faster
More accurate
Finds more deals
Provides more data
Doesn’t hide suppressed buy box listings
It’s a clear winner for most Amazon wholesale sellers.
🧠 Final Thoughts: Which Should You Use?
If you’re deciding between Scan Unlimited and Analyzer.tools, here’s the honest verdict:
✔ Analyzer.tools wins in every practical metric that affects daily sourcing:
Speed
Number of results
Deal visibility
Data depth
Safety warnings
Sales estimates
Price
Scan Unlimited still works, but it hides too many products — including profitable ones.
If you care about finding more deals, faster, and with better visibility, Analyzer.tools is the smarter choice.
(Full disclosure: I always recommend you test both tools yourself. But these results were consistent across my test, see the video at the top)
